GOVIS Events - 2022

GOVIS AGM

Wed, 12th October 2022, 5pm-7pm, Thistle Inn, 3 Mulgrave Street, Thorndon, Wellington

Come and join GOVIS for our annual AGM!

We welcome you to the GOVIS AGM to hear an update of our past year and provide the opportunity to new members and officers to stand for election to the GOVIS Committee.

Over the last year we have delivered more events online or utilising an online/in-person hybrid approach. We plan to continue to evolve in person and digital experiences to support connecting, sharing and learning across government.

Also, this year we're back to having our Conference! Click here to find out more & we hope to see you there!

If you’ve enjoyed GOVIS in the past and would like to get involved in delivering amazing events, the GOVIS management committee needs you! GOVIS needs a variety of skills so whether you’re an events pro, finance whiz, project manager with flair, can decipher contracts or are a creative marketing guru, the AGM is the perfect time to be nominated. Nominations are not limited to member agencies -- honorary members are also welcome to stand for the committee.

If you’d like to make a nomination for the officer roles or to become a committee member please let the GOVIS Secretary know before the 31st September. If you would like a motion to be tabled at the AGM please also let the GOVIS Secretary know prior to the AGM. Nominations and motions can be addressed to the GOVIS Secretary at website@govis.org.nz.

Refreshing the Strategy for a Digital Public Service

Tues, 24th May 2022, 12-1pm, ONLINE

Come along to a Discovery workshop & help contribute to a new action plan for the Stategy for a Digital Public Service (SDPS).

View the slide deck here.

What should the refreshed Strategy for a Digital Public Service look like?

On 24 May, the Digital Public Service branch (DIA) is running a Discovery workshop with GOVIS as part of the work to refresh the action plan for the Strategy for a Digital Public Service (SDPS).

The Digital Public Service branch wants to make sure the refreshed action plan supports agencies to achieve their strategic digital transformation initiatives. This is an opportunity for you to influence and contribute to a strategic plan that will guide and support public service digital transformation activity for the next three years.

Note that this strategy isn’t merely digitising government services – rather digital transformation is about creating truly user-centred organisations. So have a think about what is going on in your area, come along, and have your say!

This event will be ONLINE, and attendees will be sent connection details upon registering.
